Our Athletes have had a fantastic couple of weeks, big wins for Jesse Thomas and Heather Jackson in the Ironman competitions in Lanzarote and Chattanooga respectively.
American Jesse Thomas made a huge statement today at Ironman Lanzarote, beating defending Ironman world champion Jan Frodeno to earn his second career Ironman victory and likely solidify his spot on October’s Ironman World Championship start line. On the women’s side, Denmark’s Tine Holst turned in a patient race on the tough course to take her first Ironman title.
Heather Jackson is back on top. After recording a DNF at the Ironman 70.3 North American Championships earlier this month, Jackson unleashed her frustration and fitness on the rolling hills of Tennessee to take the win at Ironman 70.3 Chattanooga. Jackson bested a stacked women’s field that included Canadian 70.3 star Magali Tisseyre and three-time Ironman World Champion Mirinda Carfrae.
