Heather Jackson Finishes 4th at 2017 Ironman World Championships

Finishing in a time of 9:02:29, Heather Jackson improved her finish time at this year’s Ironman World Championship by almost 10 minutes over 2016, narrowly missing a spot on what would have been her second consecutive Kona podium.

Nonetheless, Jackson put in a tremendous performance, and takes home the title of fourth fastest woman in the world for 2017. Perhaps just as impressive, Heather was again the top American finisher at this year’s Ironman World Championship across all competitors.

A particularly important accolade to us here at Knight Composites was Jackson’s second fastest time in the bike leg, surpassed only by three-time World Champion, Daniela Ryf.

Along with Jackson’s other sponsors and fans, we want to congratulate her on the outstanding performance. For now, we’ll revel in the off season with her for a while. But just as the lava fields of Kona, we know she’s burning inside for another shot at that elusive title already. And we could not be more excited to support her in her next attempt.
